Why Peter Molyneux Thinks Other RPGs Are ****

Recently, Kikizo sat down for a hands on demo of Fable 2 and a chat with Peter Molyneux about some much talked about features of the upcoming game. The conversation focused on why most other RPG games all suck according to him, the much touted combat system, death and the dog, as usual.

“Stupidly, the ambition on this thing is I want you to measure this against any fighting game,” he told Kikizo in an exclusive chat. “It’s amazing for a role playing game, because most role playing games are ****! Oblivion was a great game, but the combat was rubbish; we all talked about it being rubbish. So imagine you had a great role-playing game and really, really good combat system.”

The first fable already had an amazing combat system but it can still be built up

I agree with Molyneux on Oblivion. The combat wasn’t the worst part. Yeah hes right, the combat was just akward. But the charcaters and A.I. was the worst part. The charcters were just plain boring and had no life in them, The A.I. thing was just a technical problem. But Fable 2 is all about interacting with NPC’s and is ment to be the oppisite of Oblivion. (P.S.the only good thing about Oblivion was the exploration)
