Project Ego.net: Now With 99% Less Ads!

Written by projectego | August 2nd, 2007

As some of our regular readers may have noticed, ProjectEgo.net has received a bit of a make-over in the whole advertisement department; not to mention a string of optimization tweaks behind the scenes - but that’s not not what this news post is about. You can now expect to see a heck of a lot less clutter where advertisements are concerned.

The only advertisements that remain are the Kontera ContentLink ads - the little text links that appear within these news posts, the Text-Link-Ads advertisment(s) that appear under ‘Featured Sites’ in the sidebar, and the single Google AdSense ad at the top of every page. I personally feel the massive reduction in ads will help further improve everyone’s browsing experience on ProjectEgo.net.

I personally can’t stand ads, so I can understand just how infuriating it can be to have a dozen pesky ads in my face when I’m trying to read through an article; at least this way, I’m satisfied that everyone will be able to navigate throughout the entire site and not feel have to feel as though there are a bunch of intrusive ads ruining their experience with us. Feel free to let me know what you think.

I’ll also be having a stab at reducing the number of Google AdSense ads that appear in the forum, too. Wish me luck! ;)
