Fable 2 forum regular, Blammy-kazammy, today asked an interesting question in our Bowerstone South Tavern board: “Where can i find the first thread ever posted on this site?“; Which actually got me thinking and genuinely interested me into doing a little digging. I recall thinking: Just which one was the original thread that was first ever created on Project Ego dot net?

After performing a very quick search - not as much digging was involved as I had first thought - I managed to find the first and second thread ever created. And while the first thread merely served as a test thread and wasn’t all that interesting - the second topic was quite the opposite.

The second topic covered the mysterious “Singing Sword” rumour which has been circling thread since the release of the original Fable for the Microsoft Xbox, and still continues to be the source of alot of speculation even today. There was also a handful of names in that thread that I hadn’t seen in a long time and while some of them may not be around today, they have certainly left their mark and haven’t been the forgotten. The_Bard being one such member who has become somewhat famous among some of us older members, especially for his contribution to the forum with his Singing Sword theories and discussions - which still to this day bring in alot of visitors from search engines who are looking for information regarding the Singing Sword.

I was also able to notice Seigfreid’s name come up quite a few times in the thread who is still with us today - it’s sometimes hard to believe that he was among the very first few of us and has been with us all this time; He’s practically part of the furniture now!
