Fable 2 http://www.projectego.net Fable, Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable 2 news website for Lionhead Studios\' Xbox and Xbox 360 RPG games. Tue, 11 Nov 2008 01:18:54 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.6.1 en Free Fable 2 Pub Games Codes http://www.projectego.net/free-fable-2-pub-games-codes/ http://www.projectego.net/free-fable-2-pub-games-codes/#comments Tue, 28 Oct 2008 23:17:06 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=456 Lionhead, in a rather generous move, have slowly been releasing a growing number of free pub games codes on their official blog. The first blog post published by developer, Sam, included a total of 5 free Pub Games codes! They were obviously snapped up very fast, which left a lot of fans feeling a little cheated. Well, since then, Sam has published a second and third post which contained no less than 15 free Pub Games codes in total!

It’s definitely worth subscribing to the official Lionhead blog RSS feed in order to make sure you don’t miss out on any more free Pub Games codes. I can’t imagine they’ll be giving them away forever!

Fable II Page Updated - More Content To Come! http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-dlc/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-dlc/#comments Sat, 25 Oct 2008 11:11:58 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=442 Just a quick update to let everyone know that our Fable II is currently undergoing something of a makeover, as well as having additional content added; content in the form of Fable II achievements, reviews, walkthroughs, video diaries, cheats, and tons more stuff. I’m currently in the process of writing the majority of it up now so be sure to keep an eye on our Fable II page in the near future.

You might also notice that we’ve added an extra ‘Fable II Coverage’ section to the sidebar on my left. Considering Fable II has now been released and is currently being enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people (probably in the millions now, actually) I thought it might be a good idea to make our Fable II content much more easily accessible.

Please be sure to take a quick peak at our Achievements, Cheats, Walkthrough, Video Diaries, Reviews, Pub Games and Fate Cards pages if you haven’t already. And remember: These pages are still under construction so don’t be shocked if the content you see is completely altered by the next time you visit!

Game Trailers Reviews’ Fable II http://www.projectego.net/fable-ii-review/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-ii-review/#comments Sat, 25 Oct 2008 11:04:01 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=441 Finally the review I’ve been most excited about has arrived; Game Trailers have published their Fable II Video Review! I happen to be a huge fan of Game Trailers and I find myself visiting the site frequently just to check for new video review releases. Well, they’ve finally lifted the curtain on their Fable II Video Review - oddly, quite late compared to GameSpot and IGN - and have seen fit to award Fable II with a score of 8.6/10.

Be sure to go ahead and make your way over to Game Trailer’s Fable II Video Review page, watch it yourself, and be blown away!

Also, don’t forget to check out our Fable II Reviews page where you can find a collection of Fable II reviews, published by other high profile websites such as 1UP, GiantBomb, Eurogamer, GameSpot, IGN, GamePro and more.

Sorry for the Downtime, Folks! http://www.projectego.net/sorry-for-the-downtime-folks/ http://www.projectego.net/sorry-for-the-downtime-folks/#comments Sat, 25 Oct 2008 10:40:08 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=440 Many, many apologies to our visitors for the site’s rather lengthy downtime this morning. I was foolish enough to have a lie-in today (as it was flippin’ cold and getting out of bed in the freezing cold isn’t so appealing) which meant that the downtime was slightly longer than it needed to be. I’d like to offer a special thank you to John Anderson of TotalChoiceHosting support for responding to my support ticket so promptly and remedying the situation so swiftly; you’re a life saver, John!

John was also kind enough to offer to look into the situation and investigate as to why it was that the server decided to give up when it did. I’ll update this post when I learn more. However, hopefully we shouldn’t experience any more downtime for the foreseeable future. *fingers crossed*

Thanks again, John!

Fable 2 Sells 350,000 Copies In North America Within 24 Hours! http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-north-america-24-hours/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-north-america-24-hours/#comments Fri, 24 Oct 2008 15:32:29 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=432 According to the guys over at VG Chartz, a very popular website with extremely accurate reports on video games’ sales figures, Fable 2 managed to successfully break all kinds of fancy records by selling well over 350,000 units within the first 24 hours, in North America alone. Naturally, we imagine the guys at Lionhead Studios - the developers behind Fable 2 - must be very pleased with the results so far.

Fable 2 is fast becoming one of the fastest selling games of 2008, and has already overtaken other big name 360 titles such as: Saints Row 2, Dead Space and even the latest Star Wars title, The Force Unleashed.

I managed to come across this article originally on Digg, if you care to take a look. Or you could skip right ahead to VG Chartz page to read the full story.

GameSpot Reviews Fable II, Score’s 8.5! http://www.projectego.net/fable-ii-reviews-gamespot/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-ii-reviews-gamespot/#comments Tue, 21 Oct 2008 08:08:54 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=423 Only hours after posting about IGN’s review of Fable II, it seems GameSpot is the second major gaming website to publish a Fable II review. Fortunately for us devoted Fable fans, GameSpot loved it just as much as IGN did and have awarded Fable II with a very similar score of 8.5! Be sure to check out the full review!

Some of the highlights that GameSpot found within Fable II include:

  • Huge world to explore with tons of awesome details
  • Laugh-out-loud funny
  • Your pet dog provides a strong emotional link to Albion
  • Enchanting graphics and moving music.
  • Lots of different quest types

Fable 2 Review Posted @ IGN http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-review-ign/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-review-ign/#comments Mon, 20 Oct 2008 18:32:07 +0000 projectego http://www.projectego.net/?p=421 The guys over at IGN have posted their very own review of Fable 2! There’s also a second Fable 2 review posted over on their UK section of the site which scored a very attractive 9.5 rating! Seems to me that the folks at IGN are really enjoying Fable 2 - the lucky devils - while the majority still have to wait 24 hours to another week before we can get our hands on a copy.

Special thanks to Lionheart for the heads-up!

I’m sure we’ll be seeing many, many more Fable 2 reviews pop up over the next 24 hours. I’ll be keeping an extra close eye on GameSpot and GameTrailers as both usually have a tendency to post awesome video reviews.

Again, be sure to check out IGN’s two reviews of Fable 2 to get a taste of why it is you should be just as excited as we are.

Fable 2 Launch Trailer http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-launch-trailer/ http://www.projectego.net/fable-2-launch-trailer/#comments Fri, 17 Oct 2008 16:04:00 +0000 Dark Drakan http://www.projectego.net/?p=419 As posted by PrinceHansel on the forums, Sam from Lionhead has released a new trailer on the Xbox Live Marketplace (check it out now on there), it will be available on websites later today if you cant access Live for some reason. Sam had the following to say about it in his blog…

SENSATIONAL! That’s the ONLY way I can describe it… The trailer I’ve been working on (with a great bunch of people) has been released this morning on Xbox Live Marketplace. Later today it will be made available for download on the wider web but for now, if you can’t wait, turn on your Xbox360, go the the marketplace and download the Fable II Launch Trailer. I hope all of you can see the fun and jokes in it… To be continued (as soon as I get links to download it from)!

Can comment on this here & read the blog here.
