Fable – Chapel of Skorm Quest Overview
The Chapel of Skorm is the sanctuary for the evil worshippers of Skorm, making this a rather unpleasant place. Fortunately however you don’t have to worry about getting your head smashed in as the acolytes that watch over the chapel are generally quite peaceful and won’t attempt to harm you, even if you have a ‘good’ alignment.
You can reach the Chapel of Skorm by teleporting to the village of Barrowfields and taking the path along through Darkwood Weir, Ancient Cullis Gate and heading west at Darkwood Camp. To complete this quest and earn yourself the most powerful long range weapon in the game – Skorm’s Bow – as well as a few extras you must do the bidding of the evil priests that linger inside the chapel and generate at least 800 evil points from performing sacrifices at the chapel of Skorm.
To be able to perform a sacrifice you must lure unsuspecting villagers, mercenaries, traders, even your own spouses! Use anyone that might follow you to the chapel and perform a sacrifice at around midnight. I highly recommend you save before attempting any sacrifices. So when you feel the time is right, sneak to one of the chapel of Skorm’s acolytes and sacrifice your victim.
Another thing that you need to bear in mind is that the more evil you are (if you have a higher evil alignment) the more difficult this task will be; you will need to earn around 800 evil points from a single sacrifice to be granted access to Skorm’s Bow. To earn the gift of extended life (8 years knocked off your current age) as well as the Necromancer title, you must accumulate 400 evil points per additional sacrifice.
As bizarre as it may sound, the more heroic you are, the easier it is to acquire the rather high amount of evil points. A hero with a high ‘good’ alignment will have less trouble that one who is already evil.
