Book Collection Quest Overview
The aim for this side quest is to donate at least 25 of the 30 available books to the Headmaster of the Bowerstone South school. You will receive different goodies depending on the type of books that you donate to him. For instance, if you donate an “evil” book you will receive an evil item of clothing whereas if you donate something “good” Headmaster Gout will reward you with a “light” item of clothing.
By donating at least 6 books you at least receive one reward, but if you are able to donate as many as 25 books then the Headmaster will generously award you a silver key. There are books scattered throughout the many houses and libraries in the game.
A good place to pick up a few books would be the Heroes’ Guild library. Fortunately they don’t mind you helping yourself to their stock, so you don’t have to worry about getting arrested. Every time you turn up to the school and speak with the Headmaster he will automatically select a book from your inventory and read it to the class (although there are one or two he will refuse) and will count it towards the amount of books you have already successfully donated.

ok… the guy only asks for the “good” books… and i want the dark wizard hat… how can i get him to take my “bad” books? i’ve tried saying no like 50 times when he asks for a “good” book but he just keeps askin for the same one every time.

try and get all the books before you go to him. this stops him getting caught on the book of spells, which is v annoying

how can you sell the god damn book of spells, i mean i have a million other perfectly useable books that he hasnt even read and all he says is “the book of spells the isnt a potty magic school” it pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!

To make him move onto the next book just refuse to give it to him then he’ll ask if you’ve changed your mind then refuse again and he’ll move onto the next book and just do this until you get to a book that you want.
