With the massive success of Fable on their hands, it was obvious Lionhead would eventually give the all-clear to start work on a follow up title in the RPG series that spawned on the Microsoft Xbox. Fable 2 was only recently announced, and details on the new project are few and far between.
But we expect that this title will include the same innovative ideas that made the original Fable such a global hit, and considering Fable 2 will be based on Microsoft Xbox 360 hardware, we can be sure that we are going to witness something very special indeed.

I’m sure they’ll port it to the PC sometime enough… Maybe a year after it’s release (which will be enough time for them to upgrade its graphics to DX10, and for us to buy a decent DX10 video card). Until then, we could always keep on replaying Oblivion and there should be a shit load of cool mods for Half-Life 2 until then too.

Any half decent Gaming rig will kick the buttocks of a 360/ps3 combined… its really a shame that all the new/great games come out for Console first… where the graphics simply are no match.

There is no exact Fable 2 release date available as yet, Sam. However, we’re optimistic that Fable 2 will be released worldwide roughly July/August 2008.

Fable 2 is gunnu be sweet. the gun isnt so bad because it take abourt as long to reload as the bows take to charge your shot. u can have preteceted and un protected sex wich i think is strange but it seartenly makes the game stand out.

well, pro’s of what i’ve seen. dog, slow and innacurate guns to make up for the power, one-button combat, the possible ‘death scars’, being able to buy everything.
cons; your dog might die in one sequence, you’d need a shit load of money to become emporer of alvion through buying everything, it should take a few minutes to find out that a dog is following you, and as most of those are minor, i’d say the pro’s greatly out-weigh the cons.

fable 2 sounds great but im not liking the gun idear because a true RPG consists of swords, bows and most of the time magic.
i have also heard that there is going to be online play which is a HUGE bonus yay! but im not quite sure on how it’s going to work im thinking there is going to be a leader board some how connecting the battel arenas so we can have one on one’s or even team battels. either that or it will be turned in to a huge online game like final fantasy where we all walk around through the towns and villages which isn’t a good idear.

I Know a lot about this game you get a dog, kids, wife, gun, possibly a crossbow (but longbows are cut from the game), you can buy every building you see, you can play as girl or boy, and it is released MAY 30TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. It has multiplayer via X-box live.

matt the 360 is way better than the ps3 the grafics might not be as good but the live gameplay is amazing on 360 and you cant beat the releases on xbox halo 3 assasins creed mass effect and of course fable 2 all you can get that is half good is resident evil and that doesnt measure up to a third of halo3

Ive decided to get a 360 instead of ps3 for this game. its gonna rock. And enough with this speculation on when it comes out, all we know is comes out this year. And plus you’d have to have a really good computer to run this game, if it ever does come out for pc. So yeah, noone cares about pc.
And isn’t mass effect multi-platform…?

I believe having guns would be cooler and plus its set 500 years later so duh its not like time stands still for tech.
also having kids and dogs sounds like a sweet idea because if the game is on going even when you finish the story mode you will have something to keep you playing also buying every house and shop in a town would be killer. Also for the online play i think its going to be co-op only or at least 4 people and maybe arenas but i doubt they will have a MMORPG because its just not that type of game.

whats the point having guns if it takes longer to re-load longbows are the best because u can keep shooting without waiting(unless u wanna hit higher)but if guns have higher damage would there be Skorms Bow again or would it be a gun?

Well from what i have seen the Bow have been replaced with pistols and i have seen them fire and the reload pretty fast just watch the Co-op videos they show a bit of Hobbe fighting with guns and swords. And i can only guess that crossbows will be replaced with blunderbusses or something like it.

A true Rpg dosen’t always consist of swords. A True Rpg consists of a story, great gameplay, mini games, and Quests. Guns won’t change Fable at all they probally will have the same effect of bows. Guns are a cool thing. I mean I rather hit a rock troll with a gun instead of a bow.

i think that the guns are cool as long as they are extremely powerfull but close range (due to accuracy problems of early muskets) and only have 1 shot until you reload which would take a long time
the gun would probably be good for finishing off a large creature, but as long as its low tech and not very common, guns would be a great addition.
though if guns were present then so would cannons.
