Fable 2 Gossip Update

Fable 2 Gossip webmaster, Charlotte, aka ‘Forum_Wh0re’, recently sent me an email regarding the status of her newly launched Fable 2 community. Charlotte was kind enough to inform me of how her site has suffered a problem with the database and has been forced to start from scratch. Below is an excerpt from the email I received earlier:

“A home, test, page was successfully built, but the host has been experiencing problems and it is currently down. I am currently trying to see if I can make another account and see if it will help.

A forum was also created, also down, which attempted to re-create the whole Fable idea, by doing the following:

A renown system was added which is similar to a “Karma” system or “Rep” system on other forums. The rules for this are complicated, and I had several people ask what I was saying. *laughs at self*

You can choose a path of Good, Evil or neutral. To be Good, you must apply to join a Good user group, which will give you access to the “Good” forums. To be evil, you do pretty much the same thing. To be neutral, you do neither.

The Evil community is moderated by Stormwhitelab (who is currently in the works on LH Total) who has the choice to employ Disciples to help run his community. It will be up to him to control who goes into the evil community, and who goes out.

The moderator for the Good community (who has decided to remain anonymous for the time being) will have the same duties as the Evil moderator.

Which community you want to join, depends on your renown. If you have negative renown, you will be in the evil community, if you have +, you will be in the good. Evil people would “Smite” another evil member’s renown if they wanted to be nice, and “Applaud” if they weren’t. A community moderator can choose when or if a member deserves a community change.

Of coarse each member can request to change their group, but if they fail to change their actions quickly, they could be chucked back into the community they came from.

The idea is that being Good or Evil is better than neither. Being neither is like being a ghost, trapped between heaven and hell. Neutral members wont receive any benefits or special forums that the good and evil will receive.”

Having missed the launch of Fable 2 Gossip when it first live, I would like to personally wish Charlotte the very best of luck with her new Fable 2 community and I look forward to the re-opening of the site.
