Fable 2 Dog Companion

This rumour has been circling the net for a while now, but for those of you who haven’t heard I thought I would shed some light on the subject.
Apparently Fable 2’s main character will be able to explore quests and generally go about his business with man’s best friend, the dog. Even more interestingly though, is that your pet will also learn from your behaviour and adapt to your style of play. For instance if you pursue Fable 2 as an evil villain, your cuddly little puppy will evolve into a three-headed, snarling demon dog of Hell! Sounds like this could add whole new dimension of playability to the next instalment of Fable.
Again, this is just a rumour. There is no concrete evidence as yet.

Yea ive heard that same rumor before, and ive also heard that there will be a multi genderal hero/villan option, which i doubt, but again this is a rumor that has NOT been posted more than twice

Aw, I’m sick of games with an animal companion thing like that. It is so overdone. I’d rather see them do something like extra character customization.

I would rather it be you have children, raise them, train them as warriors, then they can fight along side you. A pet would be ok but only if it’s optional. I don’t wanna be forced into having a pet if I don’t want it like other games that drag you through unfreely.

I think they should make it 2 players. so if you want two heroes side by side fighting. so one oerson doesn’t have to sit around watching the other play. it would be the greatest game in the world if it was two players

I dunno why some of you are getting so snarky about this rumour! Because that’s all it is right now a rumour! All the guy did was report it here and some of you are making a big deal about it. I’m not sure about a 2 player Fable game I mean how would it work? Splitscreen or LAN? A Fable MMORPG on the other hand would be an interesting concept as it’s definately a world I’d like to learn more about. Even after Lost Chapters there are one or two questions that were left unanswered. As for the pet thing. I agree! Too many games do that sort of thing already.

i agree and disagree i tink it would be awsome to rais a child in fable but its also cool to have a pet but i would much rather get my wife pregent have a child and train him as a warrior

So according to the original fable’s speculated release, Fable 2 should be released sometime in 2012.

They had better not have any dogs following behind the hero. That’s just like having some defenseless damsel following you around for protection, which is never fun.
I wish you could have kids on the game. It’d be a lot better than any doggy!

i agreee with you about the kid it would be awsome to train your child and have a warrior or mage with you the whole game but if not a dog is just as good if it changes with you i mean a three heaed deamon dog come on that thing could defend its self:evil:

Hey fable master 09 please post me if you should be evil or good in the new fable 2 or how you have childeren like do you go to okavale marrie have sex then wait five minents for her to have a child. And how many can you have like can you have alout or can you only have one. I hope your childeren have the capablity to as powerful as you are and not as powerful as some puny bandit i would acutaly like to have only on the first place so that you could grow a realshinship with your child and go on quest’s togather. dog…. is more than a rumor, it was an idea that has been rejected a few prototypes but nothing more, however the “wings” well youll have to wait and see.

hey ppl if the kid thing turns out to be true i would think you would be able to have more than one and you should be able to train them also heres a weird concept… if your hero dies you should be able to become your kid.

The dog idea seems stupid. Your hero should be able to talk. YOu should gain allies over the course of the game and u could switch between them. if u are unsure of which side u want to be on u should have one angel wing on the left and one dark wing on the right

i think that if you get two diffrent wings that would look stupid.
just have darker angel wings.

and wouldnt the flying be knind of akward. i think so. but it would be totally sweet!
as with the kids, i dont think you should have more than 3 cause the fighting might be too easy with 4 fable guys or girls.
but like someone said it would be cool that if you die you become your oldest kid.

it’d be realy awesome if you could be a girl, but then if you have kids it might work out a little difrently.
the fable designers should think about that if they havent yet.
and bigger citties, and more outfits and hair/beard styles too.

They should show your old hero from the first hero and u get advice from him throughout the whole game to be good or evil. IN the game you should be able to change your hair color. And you should age normally and not when you upgrade your strength. There should be different things you can choose to be besides good or evil. Like being a dark minion or you could become a god. They should also change the way summoning works. You should be able 2 summom like dragons. Like say for instance like in fable the lost chapters my summon got the last hit on jack of blades as a dragon but I didn’t get the dragon as a summon. Whats up with that.Hope you like my ideas/ :

I agree with everyone who said about having kids and training them i think that would be brilliant because after you complete the game it would get pretty boring wouldn’t it. So i do hope they make another fable and let you have kids.

I have seen a trailer for fable 2. IT IS AWESOME!!! just search “fable 2 trailer” on google. IT IS AWESOME!
(by the way i thing you can get guns in it. not modern day ones but muskets)

i really hope it doesnt have guns. because it wouldnt feel midevil anymore. it would be like being an american indian who stole a gun from a white man… a few hundred years back. also t would make magic (will) less fun to use. a kid would be kool. i think that once you got old you could be your kid and your dad (the first ‘you) would be like the head of the guild. and you would be expected to follow him. i dont think wings would be so great. also in fable1 you have to do all the main quests in order whether you good or evil. i doubt your uncle is making fable. (or even helping) i also hope its wwwwwwaaayyyyyy longer. i can easily beat fable in 2 days. also there are the same weapons over and over. example: STEEL sword, IRON sword, OBSIDIAN sword, MASTER sword. IRON mace, STEEL mace, OBSIDIAN mace, MASTER mace. with the ocasional ’skorms bow’ and if your lucky, ‘wellows pickhammer’ they need more variety. fable the lost chapters is a little better. on fable1, after you beat jack, you go back to your old save point. you need to continue

I loved the 1st fable,and fable:lost chaps a little more.iv gotten enough money in 5 hours to buy atleast 5 of the blood swords (or whatever they call it)in the city north of the main city (the city with blacksmith,the city north of that)

I have completed both Fable and the lost chapters in 4 days (thats both one after the other), to be truthful “Fable: Lost chapters was crap (apart from the little extras) there is only a few short extra quests here the are in order…
First you talk to the profets to get the fire heart and you have to work out a few small puzzels
Second you take the heart ston to the light house in Hoock coast (and deffend it from summoners)and wait for a ship to arrive
third you make your way to the shrine try to work out what it is for then gather 3 souls
Forth fight Jack again as dragon
Wait a minuet the game is finnished…
i was highly disapointed with this game bit it still did not put me off too much the graphics are ace especially on PC game play is good as you can carry on in both after you finnish the game (in lost chappers ONLY IF YOU THROUGH AWAY THE MASK) or at least it didn’t let me carry on when i put the mask on!!!

Well Fable TLC wasn’t very good.
A few extra’s plus a weird return of the bad guy kind of main story…
And to be honest, I don’t think you will have a dog in Fable 2. Besides, what would this dog do? Bark?
I think that would be a boring extra unworthy of my time. Please, think of something better than a dog if you need a companion. Furthermore, I hope you will have more tattoos in Fable 2, and much more weapons, please! (and spells, of course).

No, a bow would still be much nicer to use. and please, swords are supposed to be sharp, remember?
Also, don’t let your weight depend on if you eat six or more red meat(s). That is so weird.
And please design better armour and weapons. The armour from Fable 1 was ugly most of the time.
And slow down the aging process.
I don’t know if I wrote aging correctly, by the way. I’m Dutch you see. I’m still Leo, I just changed my name, lol.

K look guys, Fable 2 looks kinda sick, but guns are kinda boring. I mean bang bang your dead. Swords are better.I think the dog idea would be cool but even better would be a horse to ride on or a farm as a home where you could spend time. So when bandits try to attack just go under the bed take your weapons and…. well u get it. BUT this is just what i think.

K I got more ideas from my bro. He says that boats that you could use would be cool and pirates could attack you in your boat. His favorite though is that if you are completely good you get angel wings but if you are evil you get dark torn demon wings. You couldn’t fly they’re just there to look at. If anybody thinks these ideas are good post someting on them. THIS is just my bro its his ideas.

I have many graet ideas for fable2. 1st it should be for the xbox and 360.2nd you should be abe yo have kids. 3rd you should b able to get spears, daggers, sheilds and ride horses. 4th, you should be more spells. if there is a arena you should be able to go back in.6th two player mode(that would be the collest thing ever). 7th new moves For example YOU CAN SNEAK UP ON SOME ONE AND SLIT THERE THROAT. and u can back stab. playable on line. you make u caracter on line have raids on towns and people try to protect it.your charcter talks in seans. pick boy or girl. you can dule weild wepons. make ur own town. get a construstin team and build and collect taxes. you can be a black smith and have other profesions. like the will power and stelth experience u have profecions experionce. u staft out with exp to get 1 profesion. there should be constint updates for quests wepons wepons and monsters. there should be a mission if ur a warrior u cant take the archer 1 and if ur a archer u cant take the warrioe 1 of the will user 1 so here they r. also if ur guy is a archer lets say there should be 1 mission when ur on a horse and buggy protecting a queen and your on the bask of the wagon in 1st person shooting bandits with you bow but the bandits are on horses that wouild be pretty cool. the worrior 1 would be you have to protect a hole villige fro bandits and stuff. 1 last idea maby there could be a pet shop to get pets and armor 4 themim still thinking of more ideas.PLEASE SEND THIS TO LION HEAD PEOPLE SO THEY CAN READ THIS! It’s true. He said so at GDC. He even showed it. He talked about how people had thrown the squeeky ball you can get off of cliffs so they had to add self-preservation and how if you’ve got a melee weapon, he’ll attack ranged enemies, and if you have a ranged weapon, he’ll attack melee enemies.

It’s Official Lionhead is putting a dog into Fable 2, you will have no control over the dog he will be shaped by your actions. Peter spoke about it in a video in the Xbox Live Marketplace. The videos are free so check it out if you want to know more.
