‘Emotions in AI’ at Game 07
Published by Darg on May 15th, 2007
A recently posted article on Loinhead.net told that Peter Molyneux was to be speaking at Game 07, an all-day conference on new and upcoming games held at the Imperial College in London on the 17th. The conference is mostly centered around the technical issues associated with the entertainment industry, as well as a way to have game developers working with eachother more. Molyneux is supposedly going to speak about the emotional workings of Fable 2’s AI system, something that has been on the minds of many fans ever since the concept of ‘unconditional love’ and whatnot was first sparked. Most details about this are not presented however. Here is a quote from the article explaining the basic fundamentals of Game 07:
“The Games and Media Event aims to bring together people from industry and academia in order to discuss some of the technical problems and solutions within the entertainment industry. This year’s event will consist of a day of talks, demonstrations and poster presentations intended to inspire discussion and collaboration between industry and academia.”
