I wonder if there is going to be different factions that you can recruit into your army. Like mages, necromancers, thieves, soldiers, maybe even hobbs and balverines.

maybe if they did it like mass effect, they nailed the way you interact with other characters.
They have said they want to use Natal, so maybe the voice recognition thing could be of use?

what they really need to do is add a spear, dagger, horse, and actually make combat more complex and realistic and not have bandits, guards, balvarines etc flop around when they die. And they should add the ability to camoflage so you can sneak up on enemies

Get a new PC if they are laggy... I don't understand why people are tying to play brand new games on 10 year old PCs and they are complaining about how laggy they are! BUY A NEW ONE! I played fable on an older laptop and it still ran fine.
The only reason people with newer PCs would lag on an online game would be server problems game side or if you are trying to use dial up to play an MMO.
Not saying your statement is not correct I am just saying that people don't need to complain about laggy PCs with newer games if they don't want to spend the money on a new one! That is all...

I surely hope this will be the best in the series! I got Fable 2 on release day and I still havent completed it as I was that dissapointed. That was after I had to buy a new X360 to get it working. I did fire it up again the other day just to have a play. Managed 20 mins before I remembered why I stopped playing it in the first place. Would rather play the Fable, Oblivion or KOTOR. Much better games.

i think they took out alot of good things out of fable when they made fable 2 like the spells and the arena but i like the dog and the fact that there isnt any mana but you have to charge for more powerful spells

here is a idea for the opening scene for fable 3.....
I think that they are going to give you the back story in fable 3 explaining why you are where you are not just thrusting you into a battle..... they might not let you play as a child but they are going to need to mention the fact that you’re the son/daughter of the former king and I want to know what happened to the former king I think they will open with fable 3 childhood and his/her father and mother being dethroned..... then they should have fable 3 character running for his life when 3 mysterious figures grab you and take you to the tomb in bower lake where you find out that they are in fact Hammer, Garth, and Reaver "maybe not Reaver because to me this seems a little out of character for him they could replace him with Theresa" and they finish raising you teaching you the way of the hero… the only reason I think this is a good opening for fable 3 is that LH already said that some characters from fable 2 will be in fable 3

in my opinion (and i think i speak for most of the public on this) scrap the new bring some of the old stuff back, such as armor the end game swords along with archons armor (probably the most wanted items we hoped to see in fable 2)

ok so here is another version of my opening scene....
You are in the castle with your parents having a nice quite dinner when a intruder comes in a slaughters the gaurdes... your father stays behide and fights them while you and you mother go to a secret passage way "possibley in the library going to the grave yard" while on the way their they capture your mother dragging her off while she is screaming run get out of here ill be ok as long as you are ok. you get to the end of the tunnle when three figurs appear and grabs you-end

Everyone knows Theresa would just convince you into revenge, that's it, you touch her hand, end up in the chamber of fate, then she starts telling you that it was once a guild for all heroes, bla bla bla... I think it should be more like, it's your parents anniversary, they go out, leaving you at home on your own, then when they come back, your father tells you to run, with a load of people from another land barging in, then they kill everyone, then as a bullet almost hits you, time freezes and suddenly Theresa is behind you, then starts talking about some crap, teleports you to the guild, talks about what happened to it, then you get trained, and once your old enough, you own the guild, and get to recruit people to the heroes guild, as a secret organization, and it gets rebuilt underground. I also think there should be new races, that you can turn into if you want later in the game, like you could choose to become hollow man, balverine, part troll maybe even (Like turn into a human sized troll, maybe a bit bigger) and also upgrades to them, like Headless Hollow Man, White Balverine, even maybe a Platinum Troll (But not perminent, you can get cures whenever you want if you can afford to, and can activate it and deactivate at will once you've upgraded it)
or maybe adding onto your idea in the future people discover new lands like of coast and there r weird creatures roaming around but for somme reason there the dominate ones like maybe giant bird men and you can choose if you want your ancestors to,well you know erm have sexual intercourse with them and some other stuff happen or maybe theresa relly misses her family and uses the spire to bring them back and you pplay as the brother but she put the bro's brain and soul in anotheer body so you play in what form of body u want

I liked the folk theme(as stated on lionhead.com) and fable should get back to its roots... music and everything!
Fable needs to go back to the style of number 1, bring back the weapons and spells those were way stronger then the lame ones in 2.

My opening to fable 3 would begin with a storm brewing over the spire and the camera moving through the spire as the opening credit appear. Once reaching the top zooming in on Theressa's face focusing on her shut eyes. A baby's cry is heard and Theressa opens her eyes and throws a fate card down to the ground. The camera following the card as it is seen flipping and turning mid air before the card lands on the ground revealing a depiction of a new born baby with the caption on the card written below the picture "The Child" Theressa then says to herself "And so it begins".

The cut scene would then cut to a senior aged King (im not using he hero from the second game because of the 50 years gap. I dont know about you but my character was like 50 by the end of the game so i'm having the hero of Bowerstone as the deceased grandfather). The king holds the child above the young Queen. "Its a healthy Boy!/Girl!" (player chooses what gender their character is going to be) The king then moves to the bedside holding the child close to the exhausted Queen. " A little too healthy.. looks like he/she could be a bit of a Salad Dodger"

the next scene appears blurry and you hear a groan (1st person view of your child self). The camera then moves to the 3rd person and your child sequence begins. You can hear one of the servants calling "Salad Dodger! Saaaalad Dodger". You then follow the bread crumbs until you find the servant woman standing in the kitchen "Yooou were into the apple pie i was going to give your father last night weren't you?" says the servant woman *camera looks at your characters face revealing a guilty expression as he looks down at the ground* "Well.. i must say i'm disappointed. No time to punish you now though, your father is waiting for you in the court yard for your training. How he is going to make a noble man out of you escapes me.. Anyway James will take you there". *A young guard approaches* "Hello there young'en my Name is James and i am at your service young sir. If you wouldn't mind following me to see your father we can set off". (your movement is restricted similar to the butler scene when you enter Fairfax Castle as a child in fable 2)"You didn't have anything to do with that incident in the kitchen's last night did you? no i suppose you wouldn't have, nothing like the riff raff outside these walls. I tell you young sir you are lucky, lucky indeed, shouldn't get so used to the pampered lifestyle tho, you'll have a lot of responsibility one day and you just don't know when your luck will run out. you just have to be alert kid. By the way im sorry to hear about your mother. terrible business. Well here we are. Your father is just over there by those dummies. ah the Captain is there too. I tell you what kid there is something about that man.. that just isn't natural, i cant quite put my finger on it but us guards have a sixth sense about these things. Anyway i better take my post. Run along now young'en before you get into trouble"
your then run your character over to the dummies int he court yard. "you certainly took your time didn't you Salad Dodger" says a smiling King. *quick tutorial on how to fight sparing against your father, shooting the dummy with a rifle and finally learning a basic will attack and practicing it on the dummy*
Cutscene: "you catch on quick young one. You take after me, don't you agree captain?" *The captain makes a nodding gesture to the King with a intimidating look on his face a passing group of monks throw their robes to the ground revealing the warrior underneath. a close up shows the horrified face of Salad Dodger(you)as your father the King Unsheathes his sword and tries to desperately defend against the strange warriors. The Captain puts his hand in his pocket and emerges with a stone as he is standing behind the King. The King warns he is a skilled will user and extends his arm... nothing happens.. The King's body starts to sway. The king unsure f what has happened looks behind him. To see his trusted Captain holding a strange stone which seems to be draining all of the King's heroic powers. "My master will be most pleased when he receives this power" says the Captain in a sadistic tone. The king collapses on the ground lifeless.. Salad Dodger watches in disbelief. He uses his training sword and swings at the Captain, only to be blocked and kicked to the ground. The Captain stands over Salad Dodger with his sword poised over the child. "Bang!" a gunshot is heard the Captain's face is shocked as he stumbles back and falls to the ground" James is seen holding a smoking gun. The strange warriors previously distracted by the King now move towards James "RUN KID! yells James"*
the cutscene ends and you have to run your character to the Cullis Gate. The cullis Gate can only be activated by Hero's Blood as you touch it the podium lights up and you are transported to your fathers last location visited.
Cutscene: You look up trembling and crying to a tall skeletal figure in a blue coat. "Do not be afraid child my name is Scythe.. and i am a friend of the family"...
Well that's how i would begin Fable 3 :)
i also have a few ideas for the whole war mechanics at least at sea anyway. I was thinking about having a fleet of battle ships and having one as the "Royal Barge" or something which is obviously yours once you have regained the throne. Instead of being like a house receiving rent the ships in your fleet are a drain and constant cost to you (keeping the ship maintained, feeding the troops, troops income etc). Also while at sea the fleets will come across Kraken, Enemy ships and maybe a leviathan(this monster will have to be a quest encounter as it will be quite time consuming to kill) when the ships come across these random encounters you will be notified on the guild seal (now a family heirloom). This will allow you to join the battle by arriving via cullis gate or to let the battles be auto decided. auto deciding may be the easier option at times however it comes at a risk. the troops will not do as well without the moral of a hero, their King alongside them and ships may be lost. This will become a rather costly exercise and it is recommended to always join the battle where possible. also while on the "Royal Barge" you may decide where the fleet travels by using the Captain's Table.

they should make a weapon pack like a modern weapon pack with guns and stuff then a medival weapon pack witth swords and cross bows but they do inflict the samme average amount of damage and you can have both if you want
I think they should put the older swords in from Fable 1 and 'The lost chapters' in Fable 3 and just make it they have been lost for centuries and, BRING BACK THE ARMOR! I think the armor is way better than the clothes they have on Fable 2, but I think they should put clothes and armor in Fable 3 to make everyone happy. And have both the old will power and new will power in number three, too. Again, to make everyone happy.
I really liked OakVale in 'The lost chapters' so I think they should end up 'restoring' OakVale in either, the 50 years between Fable 2 and 3 or during number 3. I think it was cool how it had some quests in Fable 2 could have the outcome in destroyed cities or whatever like the Temple of Light quest how you had to help them but if you didn't than the Temple of Light was like completely ruined. And I, too, think they should make the Hero in Fable 3 talk because it is really frustrating them not talking and people talking for you.
maybe at the end you can restore oakville and the heroes guild

I think we all know the games will just get better and better, 1 & 2 was just about testing some gameplay styles and ideas, but now that Lionhead are gathering more info about how people react to certain bits of gameplay, it's only a matter of time before the Fable series sheds it's skin and breaks through as the truly epic tale takes wing, blinding us with a warm light of perfection...
...well, I would hope so anyways. But I do love Fable games all the same.

No way fable 3 seems like its going to be the end of the series story. If they made a 4 and 5 the story would be shit but the gameplay would probly be amazing
hmm maybe along with that war, fableman, they should have literally have a huge mass of angels (if you are on the good side) and a huge mass of demons (evil side) like in that one part in Lord of the Rings where gandalf and the other calvary charges the orcs at the bottom of the mountain. for each battle you need to kill the battle leader like a Holy Knight (or crusader) and a Damned Berzerker or something. You have to lead your troops to victory. And to win the war you have to kill Lucifer or a Holy Champion or perhaps greek and roman gods like Zeus and Hades or Aries and Jupiter (i dont want to offend anyone so im not putting in Biblical names)

There should be a variety or different monsters to fight like White Balverines (fable 1) and if you get bitten you can turn into a balverine
yeah i was thinking that, and maybe u only turn into 1 at night and cant control yourself from killing randoms, and if you dont cure yourself the gaurds will become notorious in all of the towns and guards will try to kill you
For sure I want to be able to terrorize the village as a balverine like the Mods.

you know what i think they are going to do with the game. Well it says that there will be others trying to gain the crown, i think that they are going to have factions of Good, Evil, and Bandit and then probably the Crown will use its imperial army. They are all going to fight each other for the throne so there might be quests that allow you to fight for whoever you want.
Or the alterative, the forces of Strength, Skill and Will will fight and there will be a war because maybe the crown is incapable or incompetent of holding together the kingdom. I think they will do one of those. But i dont know. Does anyone else seem to agree with me?

lol yeah and like i said ealier about if you are evil enough you can be a bandit leader and have bandits follow you around and sack cities, raze them and stuff. Well, you should be allowed to invade cities and have a huge war then take over the city as your own. But there will be city sizes ranging from small to very large (like New York City) and there will be a lot of cities with tons of different things like items in stalls and more jobs and buildings.

hmmm lucian hi im locein MWAHAHAHAHA but if they did that the body guard prob kill most thing leaving u with 75% 50% or 25% xp depening on how many BUT what u could do is also make it so the guards soak up the xp and then make it so u can up grade there str at your maybe the barracks in the castle (but not will or skill because they not heros)
I want fable 3 to allow me to choose what the castle and the throne and the apolstery look like and have options to put statues around the castle (a bit like overlord 1 and 2). I want to be able to have guards in the castle and once i have passed judgement on someone or there is someone that is beginning to annoy me, can have some of my guards drag them back to my castle and throw them in dungeons. I also want to be able to collect Trophies (alignment specific as well as netural) to hang around (especially in the entrance hall where people have to walk through to get to the throne room) that could cause admiration or fear in the visiting people.
good idea if i could do that i would buy the game just for that haha
